Only a few days left in Paris 2024. Let’s look at some of the day’s highlights:
Men’s 200m
Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo won Gold, beating out Kenneth Bednarek and favorite Noah Lyles from the United States. Lyles later said he had COVID. 292 teams selected Lyles for their rosters, 39 picked Bednarek, and 44 chose Tebogo. This is Botswana’s first Olympic Gold medal!
Men’s Basketball
The United States Men’s team trailed by 17 points to Serbia but rallied to win 95-91, behind 36 points from Stephen Curry. France held off Germany 73-69 in the other semifinal game. Germany faces Serbia for Bronze and the United States faces France for Gold on Saturday. Here’s how the selections broke down for these remaining teams:

Women’s 400m Hurdles
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone of the United States broke her own world record to claim Gold in the event. Anna Cockrell, also from the United States took the silver, and Femke Bol from the Netherlands won Bronze. Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone was a popular pick, being selected by 154 teams. Femke Bol was selected by 47, and only a single team picked Anna Cockrell.
